Recently named the Vice Chair of the Board to the Capital Region Food Program (CRFP), Wilcox & Barton, Inc. Vice President Erin Lambert is thrilled to help coordinate the organization’s biggest event of the year, the upcoming Holiday Food Basket Program. Preparations for this massive event have already begun, with the goal of helping to feed more than 2,000 families during the holiday season.

Located in Concord, New Hampshire, the Capital Region Food Program is a private, not-for-profit organization with no paid staff that aims to reduce hunger in the Greater Concord Area year-round. Through coordination and collaboration with food pantries and social service agencies, the CRFP has distributed more than 3,200 tons of food through the Holiday Food Basket Program (HFBP) and Year-Round Distribution Projects (YRDP). 100% of their donations go to purchasing food.

Erin Lambert has been volunteering for the CRFP her whole life, alongside four generations of relatives, and the organization holds a special place in her heart. She served for nine years on the Board of Trustees, and she earned the Volunteer Hero Award in 2017. “The Capital Region Food Program is an amazing organization, and I’m so proud to be a part of it,” says Lambert. “The Holiday Food Basket Project is a true community event, bringing together over 1,000 volunteers to assemble and distribute boxes of food throughout our community. Families, friends and co-workers come back year-after-year to volunteer. I am lucky to volunteer with four generations of my family and my co-workers!”
